Official Transcript (English)

One of the evils of the pre-Islamic people of ignorance (Jahiliyyah) was that they used to bury girls alive. Allah said: {And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked [for what sin she was killed].} [At-Takwir: 8]. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'He who had a daughter and did not bury her alive, nor did he humiliate her, nor did he prefer his son over her, Allah will enter him into Paradise.' (Ahmad).

الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)

من مساوئ الجاهليين أنهم كانوا يدفنون البنات أحياء، قال الله تعالى: {وَإِذَا ٱلۡمَوۡءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتۡ}. [التكوير:8]. قال النَّبي ﷺ: "من ولدت له ابنة، فلم يئدها، ولم يهنها، ولم يؤثر ولده عليها -يعني الذَّكر- أدخله الله بها الجنَّة". (أحمد).
