نعم يستحبُّ تحنيك المولود، والتَّحنيك: هو مضغ التَّمر ووضعه في فم الصَّبي، ثمَّ ندلك حنك الصَّبي بالتَّمر أو بشيء حلو كالعسل أو الزَّبيب، فيصل إلى جوف المولود شيء منه.
