هل كان إبليس من الملائكة؟

You recite the answer every Friday in Sūrah al-Kahf: { وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوۤا۟ إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِۦۤ... } “And (remember) when We said to the angels: Prostrate yourselves unto Adam. So they prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan). He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord...” [Sūrah Al-Kahf: 50] However, due to the fact that he was from the ardent worshippers, his rank was raised. However, due to disbelief and arrogance, envy and delusion, he was cast out by Allāh. So he is not from the angels.
