كان ﷺ يغيِّر المنكر إذا رأه ويعلم الجاهل وينبِّه الغافل، فقد أخذ الحسن بن علي تمرة من تمر الصَّدقة، فجعلها في فيه، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: «كخ كخ، ارم بها، أمَّا علمت أنَّا لا نأكل الصَّدقة؟». (متَّفق عليه). قال عمر بن أبي سلمة: أكلت يومًا مع رسول الله ﷺ طعامًا، فجعلت آكل من نواحي الصَّحفة، فقال لي رسول الله ﷺ: «كلْ ممَّا يليك».
Official Transcript (English)
He (peace be upon him) used to change the evil when he saw it, teach the ignorant, and alert the heedless. Al-Hasan ibn Ali once took a date from the charity (Sadaqah) dates and put it in his mouth. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Kakh kakh (yuck yuck), throw it away! Do you not know that we do not eat from the charity?' (Agreed upon). Umar ibn Abi Salamah said: 'I was eating food with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and I started eating from different sides of the dish. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "Eat from what is in front of you."' (Al-Bukhari).
