What is the reward for one whose child [son] dies? Mention evidence from the Sunnah.
الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)
قال رسول الله ﷺ لرجل توفِّي ابنه: «أما ترضى ألَّا تأتي بابًا من أبواب الجنَّة إلَّا جاء يسعى حتَّى يفتحه لك؟» فقالوا: يا رسول الله، أله وحده، أم لكلنا؟ قال: «لا، بل لكلكم». (أحمد).
Official Transcript (English)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to a man whose son had passed away: 'Would it not please you that you do not come to any of the gates of Paradise except that he comes racing to open it for you?' They asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, is this for him specifically, or for all of us?' He said: 'No, but for all of you.' (Ahmad).
